The Opportunity:
Become an integral part of our dynamic food manufacturing company as a 2nd Class Engineer. Your role will be pivotal in overseeing regulatory compliance and managing the efficient operation of our plant. We offer a competitive 2nd Class Power Engineer Rate of $48.27 per hour.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

Maintain and operate various utilities equipment and processes, spanning steam plants, HVAC, compressed air, water systems, natural gas and refrigeration.
Collaborate with contractors, manufacturers, and vendors for streamlined operations.
Develop and manage essential protocols including SOPs, PMs, PDM, and WOs.
Spearhead project development and implementation, focusing on utilities enhancements.
Uphold health, safety, and food safety policies.
Cultivate a culture of engagement, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork among employees.

What You'll Bring:

2nd Class Power Engineering certification.
Proficiency in managing steam, ammonia, and refrigeration systems.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Self-motivation and ability to thrive with minimal supervision.
Team player mentality with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in computer operations.
Prior experience in a food production or manufacturing setting is advantageous

Preferred Hiring Criteria:

Steam & refrigeration experience
Additional tickets such as Millwright & Plumbing an asset
Experience in a food processing environment
Good computer skills - proficient in Microsoft office applications & experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Experience with root cause analysis & continuous improvement programs such as 6Sigma
Requires initiative, results oriented, demonstrated leadership & excellent communication skills
Work as part of a team & be an exceptional fit with our Leadership Edge Values
Project management experience
Desire to achieve personal, departmental & plant goals
