Summary

The HSE Superintended will beresponsible for the implementation of the HSE management system (MS), processes, policies, and tools for assigned rigs; drive ownership, responsibility, and accountability for HSE; communicate effectively to drive consistent implementation and compliance to the HSE MS, trend and measure the HSE leading and lagging indicators for the daily management of the rigs; champions HSE to continuously drive HSE Performance.

Responsibilities

• 24-hour HSE support to employees in the designated operational area providing daily coaching and support to the field staff, coaching, and training employeesspend 80% of their time in the field, maintaining focus on overall company objectives
• Provide HSE leadership, support, coaching, and training at all levels in the field and shops; Responsible for implementing HSE objectives and performance measures during all drilling operational activities
• Coaches, demonstrates, and leads Key Beliefs, Life-Saving Actions, HSE MS policies, procedures, and tools
• Continuous assessment and communication of HSE data and KPIs to monitor leading and lagging indicators
• Proficient in Regulatory requirements, PD HSE MS policies, and industry best practices ensuring compliance
• Coach, train, and support employees to the HSE MS policies, processes, and tools to achieve Target Zero
• Conduct rig HSE assessments, and inspections, monitor corrective actions for completion
• Ensures hazard identification and controls (Hazard Assessments) are completed and controls are in place for all tasks
• Participate in risk management and HSE activities including risk assessments, audits, HSE meetings, onsite work activities, weekly safety meetings and morning operations meetings, etc.
• Partner with the Field Superintendent continuously providing leading and lagging indicator information and action plans to close gaps; Manage and provide regular feedback to ensure compliance to the HSE MS
• Responsible for post-incident management including preparation and submittal of incident reports and corrective action follow-up as per the HSE MS; Participate in incident investigation; Committee meetings; Responsible forcommunicating incident status to management
• Assist in the implementation of the rig Emergency Management Plan
• Develop, revise, conduct, and/or coordinate HSE training as needed
• Verify that required HSE training is being completed in a timely manner for rig-based personnel
• Communicate with Field Training and Development Managers for training inquiries specific to HSE for rig-based employees

Knowledge & Skills

Education

BS/BA degree preferred in Safety related program

HSE credentials and/or certifications preferred

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant oilfield experience with a proven excellent safety record

3-5 years of experience in a heavy industry/construction environment (drilling rig experience preferred) with a proven excellent safety record

Strong working knowledge of HSE Management Systems

Strong working knowledge of Regulatory requirements

Experience in Hazard Assessment and Incident Investigation

Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive Company vehicles including ability to meet requirements of the Company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy
