*Job Summary*

The Property & Casualty claims adjuster is responsible for handling property claims for customers and claimants.

Determines acceptance for liability or denials.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

* Reviews daily accident entries involving customer and Hogan vehicle damages from multiple sources.

* Data entry, posting check payments, invoices, photos, reports, etc.

* Creates electronic files and set up for payment process to customers or claimants.

* Sends denial letters to claimant or customers when applicable.

* Creates overnight mail and send to receiver when necessary.

* Communicates with claims adjusters, safety team, and account managers to ensure claim accuracy when necessary.

* Orders police reports and disburse to applicable personnel, posting to risk management software.

* Works with Independent Adjusters when applicable.

* Prepares notices and paperwork in accordance with company requirements.

* Provide information to Insurance Claims Adjuster, Claims Manager, and Director of Claims as needed.

* Works with Internal vehicle appraiser/adjuster and Internal Property adjuster to ensure estimate and photos are in line.

* Ensures claims are properly documented.

* Other duties as assigned

*Requirements*

* High school diploma or GED required.

* 1+ years experience in claims and/or collections, experience in transportation a plus.

* Proficient in Microsoft products including Word and Excel.

* Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.

* Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
