THE ROLE:
As a Systems Field Engineer within the Technical Performance and System Team, you will support the existing team of engineers in delivering ScotRail business initiatives and supporting requirements currently undertaking within the team, Due to the continued success and development of the team, these additional roles are required to maintain the quality of works being undertaken in a safe and efficient controlled environment.
The roles will further allow the business to improve performance and asset availability through the delivery of the current CCTV Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and faulting including Customer Information Systems, Retailing Systems and capability to support other support contracts and minor works via our internal PMO Team.
The positions will take direction from the Senior System Field Engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Senior Systems Field Engineers and associated Systems Field Engineers Implement and oversee ScotRail Alliance retail Assets and standards Lone working and support colleagues on tasks required to complete faulting and maintenance activities Ensure that the necessary procedures are undertaken within ScotRail Alliance for the provision of multi-mode and any other forms of ticketing within the Network Produce maintenance and faulting reports for Performance Meetings Deliver and complete all maintenance and faulting activities allocated to you by the Service Desk Undertake Safety Audits on contractors Carryout training to other members of ScotRail Dept to develop and enhance systems operations and support to benefit the company's performance Always represent the Asset Management Team to ScotRail Values Help promote quality systems and work with the team to achieve ISO 55001 AND ISO 9001 Accreditation Deliver all instructed Preventative Maintenance Programs to the highest standard possible in supporting department set KPIs Deliver all instructed Faults to the highest standard possible in supporting department set KPIs Report all identified safety related issues immediately to your line manager, undertaking site surveys and produce the necessary the instructed information for support of maintenance and project activities Production and approval of required safety documentation to obtain authority to undertake maintenance, faulting and project activities Undertake site surveys and produce the necessary the instructed information for support of maintenance and project activities This list is not exhaustive, and the role holder is expected to undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role THE PERSON:
Flexible, committed, reliable and able to work individually and as part of a team under demanding timescales.
You must be a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to change mind-sets to constantly improve performance.
The person should have experience in the delivery of maintenance schedules, faulting and minor projects and the ability to influence people at all levels.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Good communication skills Wide railway engineering and terminal operation experience Capable of effectively and managing multiple projects Experience in working on Railway Customer Information, Security and Retail Systems Extensive knowledge of Customer Information, Security, Retail and Networking Systems UK Driving Licence Experience of Personal Track Safety Disciplines Experience in producing Method & Risk Assessment and Work Package Plans Excellent organisational skills and capable of managing multiple tasks Understanding and experience of Microsoft Office Understanding and experience in operating ScotRail CAM System (Training will be provided) Understanding and experience in operating Javelin, Vix and FareGo Remote Management Systems (Training will be provided) Hours of work:
35 hours per week.

Selection process:
Assessment and Interview may form the initial stages of the selection process.
The final stage for successful candidates will be a medical questionnaire.
Appointees must submit at least two satisfactory references, Disclosure Scotland clearance and complete a six-month probation period.
Training initially involves attendance on our virtual Induction Training Programme.
