Program Manager Tutoring Services

Reporting to the Founder and working collaboratively with the Program Manager, Student Supports, the Program Manager, Tutoring Services is responsible to lead and grow JUMP Math's direct tutoring services for Grades 1-9+.
The role will develop and implement a new direct tutoring services program that deliver both paid and volunteer tutoring sessions (in person and virtual) to schools and/or parents/students.This new program will contribute to supporting JUMP Math's charitable partnerships and long-term financial sustainability.
The role is key to supporting JUMP Math's efforts to deliver grant funded tutoring pilots with school districts and community organizations that supports JUMP Math's 'integrated service model'.
The integrated service model provides wraparound support (after school, summer school, direct to home) to close student learning gaps and increase student math and numeracy outcomes.The role also works closely with the Program Manager, Student Supports to ensure math tutors are provided with professional learning and resources to deliver JUMP Math with fidelity.This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) with benefits.Location of Work:
This role is intended to be hybrid with some attendance in person for meetings and duties at the JUMP Math office in Toronto.Salary Range:

Program Management:
Develop strategies and plans for direct tutoring services to support charitable partnerships and revenue generating tutoring services to support JUMP Math's financial sustainabilityExecute and evaluate a tutoring services pilot and recommend changes to grow and expand the programWork collaboratively with the JUMP Math team to launch a direct tutoring service (both paid and volunteer) and certified tutor training programMonitor and report on progress of direct tutoring services programsManage the online Tutoring Management System (TMS) for JUMP Math tutors and students with the support of the Program Coordinator, Program Innovation and Research team.Develop policies and procedures manual for the delivery of direct tutoring servicesUses program data to identify and address operational challenges quicklyMonitors trends and competitors in the tutoring market and recommends changes to improve outcomesSupports the execution of grant funded tutoring programs for schools and districtsHuman Resources:
Recruit, Onboarding and TrainingWorking closely with the HR Generalist and the Finance team recruit/evaluate and supervise a team of JM tutors that deliver both paid and volunteer direct tutoring to studentsEnsure the proper screening of potential tutors (police vulnerable sector checks), is done to ensure safety of students and manage risks for the organizationWorking closely with the Program Manager, Student Supports and the Director, Professional Learning to ensure successful onboarding, orientation and professional learning is provided to all paid and volunteer tutors to ensure JUMP Math is delivered with efficacy for positive student outcomesProvides input to Program Innovation colleagues for online tutoring training programs delivered by JUMP MathWorks to develop a Volunteer Tutor recruitment and training strategy and program to support high needs studentsMarketing, Promotion and Sales:
Works closely with the Sales and Professional Learning team to pitch tutoring and supplementary math products and programs to school districts or state/provincial RFP/RFQ opportunities to grow revenuesCollaborates with the Marketing and Communications team to promote the program to key stakeholdersRepresents JUMP Math among school-based partnerships and community partnershipsWorks closely with the Development (Fundraising) team to support grants and other funding applications and stewardship to support the growth and impact of JUMP Math tutoringSkills:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a non-profit/charity or private sector in a similar or related role (education, tutoring, coaching, program management/coordination)A post-secondary diploma or degree; or equivalent work experienceExperience with recruiting, supervising, coaching and retaining paid and volunteer rolesPrevious experience as a tutor/educator is an assetExperience with program development, execution and evaluationA passion for education and the possibilities of math education to change lives.Able to work hybrid/remotely and have some flexibility on occasion with scheduling/work hours
