Junior Accountant

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

As Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for accounts receivable functions and understanding the company's business development program. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Prepare invoices and deposits. Make collections calls and update collection information in customer files
• Perform accounting functions required for various balance sheet accounts
• Apply payments to customer accounts if necessary
• Maintenance of rebate/discount programs and customer database
• Assist with month/year end reporting
• Other accounting duties as required

MUST HAVES:
• Post-secondary education in accounting or business
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Working toward completion of CPA designation
• Eager to learn, grow and develop within a company
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
