Project Architect

Hays has recently partnered with a local mid sized, growing firm located in Calgary who are looking for a Project Architect to join their studio.
This firm is at the forefront of innovation and are committed to creating spaces that positively impact the communities they work within.
With a strong focus on creativity and passion for sustainable architecture, this firm is looking for like-minded individuals to work with them on a variety of multifamily projects across Canada.
As the Project Architect, you will take charge of both pre-design and design stages of projects, directing them into production.
• this role is open to Interns and Registered ArchitectsResponsibilities:
Lead the design and development of multi-family residential projects through various stages up to productionCollaborate with clients and project teams to determine project requirements, objectives, and budgetDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesCreate project plans, drawings, and specificationsManage and direct internal teams, delegating tasks and overseeing contributions from engineers, contractors, and subcontractorsEnsure that all work is completed within established deadlines and within budgetReview and approve all project documentation, including plans, specifications, and contractsEnsure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and standardsMaintaining high standards of design, documentation, and administrationDrive new business through proposal writing and client interactionsQualifications:
5+ years in an architectural role, with a minimum of a year in project management capacityPrior experience in multi family, mixed-use and commercial projects is requiredFamiliar with managing projects up to $20 million in valueConstruction site experience considered a strong assetMasters in Architecture or equivalent from accredited college or universityProficient with the following platforms:
Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-UpThe successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $75,000 - $90,000 (dependent on experience), comprehensive benefits, RRSP up to 3% (after the first year), continuing education allowance + 2 days of professional development and the week off over Christmas in addition to vacation allowance.
