Quality Engineer

In this role, you will support our region as a partner in quality, certifications, and compliance while collaborating with multiple disciplines across SEL. You will also have the opportunity to partner with suppliers and contractors to evaluate and monitor quality and ensure conformance to SEL's high standards. If you are interested in a hands-on, challenging, but fulfilling role that provides continual learning, apply today!As a Quality Engineer, a typical day might include:Partnering with stakeholders in understanding problems and investigating root cause.Ensuring the implementation of effective solutions to prevent recurrence.Initiating and facilitating cross-functional meetings to address quality issues and brainstorm solutions.Facilitating internal/external audits and certification activities, as applicable.Acquiring and analyzing data using standard quantitative methods to facilitate process analysis and improvements.Planning, designing, and implementing tests to monitor quality using engineering principles.Other duties as assigned.This job might be for you if you have:B.S. degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or other technical degree, or equivalent experienceTypically, 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, process improvement, or data analyticsStrong facilitation, organization, communication, project management and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of quality tools and process improvement techniques (FMEA, Six Sigma, PDCA, Lean Manufacturing, Control Charts, Histograms, Pareto)Knowledge of ISO 9001 and

other ISO standards is a plus Strong writing, documentation, speaking and interpersonal skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience using metrology and statistical methods including statistical control of processes (SCP)Knowledge of

probability/reliability
