The Ries lab is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for a WWTF-funded project in the development of a deep learning-based approach for reconstructing a movie of cellular processes using high-throughput super-resolution microscopy. The project focuses on endocytosis, aiming to achieve nanometer resolution in the reconstruction of cellular structures and dynamics. Abundant data is available, and collaboration with biologists and computational scientists is integral to the project.

Ph.D. degree in computer science or physics.
Strong background in machine learning, preferably deep learning.
Experience in computer vision or image analysis, especially microscopy images, is highly appreciated.
Excellent spoken and written English skills.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will:
Develop a deep learning-based approach for reconstructing cellular processes from high-throughput super-resolution microscopy images.
Focus on endocytosis, expanding the method for broader applications in various cellular processes.
Collaborate with biologists and computational scientists to capture and analyze new data.
Extend previous work based on maximum likelihood estimation.
