Smith Services , a part of Timken Power Systems, is seeking a Utility Associate for the Princeton service center.This is a Dayshift position.Timken provides a full range of benefits including medical, dental, vision,life and short- and long-term disability insurance. Therole of the Utility Associate position is to perform general labor, mechanical, painting, and maintenance tasks supporting other skilled-labor positions.

Essential Functions include a variety of general-labor tasks for a motor repair shop. Duties will include:

General shop labor, including facilities maintenance and cleaning.
Loading and unloading of commercial vehicles.
Making local supply runs or deliveries (using passenger vehicles or other non-commercial trucks).
Dismantling motors and equipment; sandblasting parts, cryo-cleaning parts and equipment; prepping parts and equipment for assembly; painting motors or parts.
Other duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years' work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical or mechanical background.
Proven record of reliable attendance, strong work ethic and team skills.
Demonstrated strong math and mechanical skills.
Must have high school or general equivalency diploma (GED)
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Requires heavy lifting and material handling
Basic computer skills preferred
Valid Driver's License
Position is primarily Monday through Thursday, day shift. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary as work volume requires.
