Correctional LPN or RN Float Nurse

to work in Wisconsin County Jail facilities

may be just the additional income and change in pace you need. Our online schedule exchange system permits you to pick up shifts at jails and detention centers nearest you. Shifts can be 6, 8, or 12 hrs in duration and you can choose days, evenings, nights, weekends or holidays. Float positions offer flexibility of scheduling to ensure a healthy work life balance for our employees. Work as much or as little as you want. Be a part of the team of medical professionals who really make an impact and do so on your own terms.

Correctional Nursing is a unique niche for nurses to provide needed care within a safe and controlled environment. SHP is looking for strong skilled nurses to provide quality care on-site, filling open hours within our various correctional medical units. From information gathering, assessments, sick call, and medication passes - you are trained for the duties to be performed.

Generous Pay + Mileage Reimbursement + Opportunities for Grown

PRN or Set Part-Time schedules available

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Deliver patient care, evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, chart results, establish nursing plans and work under the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines, and Physician/Provider(s)
Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards & correctional regulations
Follow through with established treatment plans
Perform emergency intervention, physical assessment and critical thinking
