Summary

The training leader will provide expertise in analyzing technical learning needs followed up designs and delivers training solutions. He/ She is responsible for business operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within the business. This role will work very closely with the site leadership together with the HR team. He/ She will be the custodian of training, development plans and frameworks for employees in the business. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions for a business or function. Focuses on technical training essential for a particular business or function, and does not include Leadership Learning.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
Consults and works together in close partnership with HR, employees representation and educational institutions/ bodies in terms of the development of both hourly and salaried employee training
Leads training, development plans and frameworks across the business. For example, development of OJT training curriculm blueprint, training tracker.
Ties in learning strategy to the business strategic workforce strategy planning and development.
Conducts annual training needs analysis and ensures that it is being carried out/ implemented.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Acts as a resource for colleagues. May lead projects from time to time. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Support side wide training initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Training Design and Delivery.
Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
