Position is contingent upon contract award.

As the HVAC Technician , you will install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform scheduled periodic maintenance and seasonal overhaul on systems and components to ensure maximum efficiency.
Performs planning activities, and facility surveys.
Manages HVAC/R fuel emissions and refrigerant handling programs and activities to support various ACCOM II systems.

*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: *

High School diploma or GED.
Formal HVAC/R training such as: military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain.

*LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS: *

Must have applicable CFC/EPA certification such as Section 608 Certification (Universal).

*KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: *

Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade.
Ability to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings is required.
Must have knowledge of operation / installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems / equipment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD SEVENTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
