Position Description An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Controls Operations Manager based in North America to assist with the expansion of the Control team and product offering in territory.
The successful candidate will seek ways to grow the business and deliver our current product platforms with the support of the UK team.
This opportunity will enable the individual to build a team around them and be at the forefront of North American Controls.
The role will work closely with the North America Sales and Aftermarket teams to support the system sale.
Key Responsibilities Promote effective Health, Safety and Environmental programs and practices, ensuring that high standards of site safety are established and followed by all associates in the operationAssist the Sales teams to encompass Controls in their tendersIdentifying new sales leads for Controls based productsResource and deliver active projectsIdentify internal and external resource requirementsManagement of department profit and loss to sustain required marginsMaintaining fruitful relationships with existing customersHelp growth the Airedale Controls brand in North AmericaPlanning and overseeing new marketing initiativesAttending conferences, meetings, and industry eventsCommunicate effectively at all levels of the organization including written, verbal and presentation techniquesThought leadership with respect to Controls execution as well as the long term strategic plan for the Sub VerticalResponsible to provide coaching, mentoring and leadership to the Controls team and associatesCreation of a positive work environment that allows for collaboration and team cohesion.

Required Education & Qualifications 5-7+ years of Controls Industry experience (production supervision/manager/etc)Bachelor's degree required (Engineering or other technical field preferred) Experience hiring/building a team and managing 10+ direct reports Project delivery experienceHVAC experience is a nice to have Strong verbal and written communication skillsCreative talents and the ability to solve tough problemsIn-depth knowledge of the controls and/ or cooling industry and its current eventsThe ability to handle pressure and meet deadlinesSkill in prioritizing and triaging obligationsAttention to detailCan do attitude Excellent time management and organizationSuccessful at winning new business Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
