Description

The Maintenance Technician position at Miss Kitty's Fishing Getaways, part of the VTrips family of brands, is responsible for completing maintenance work orders and performing routine and non-routine service order requests. The main function of this role is to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This is a seasonal position that will end on or around September 30, 2024.

Essential Functions:

Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance services.
Conduct minor repairs of plumbing systems, cabinetry, minor electrical work, and HVAC systems.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
Install and repair locks, including electronic and Wi-Fi entry systems.
Troubleshoot wireless computer systems, Wi-Fi, cable television wiring, and remote systems.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with varying hours based on business needs. The Maintenance Technician should have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

Reliable transportation for traveling between locations as needed.
Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background screening.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Two years of maintenance experience.
One year of experience in the vacation rental or hospitality industry.
Knowledge of small hand and power tools.
Preferred knowledge of electronic locks (Kaba, Sledge, Yale, etc.).
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to multitask.

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

Physical Demands: The Maintenance Technician must be able to sit for 20% of the time and walk or stand for 80% of the time. They should also be able to stoop, bend, stretch, twist, and reach. The ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs is required. Specific vision abilities are also required for this role.
Mental Demands: The Maintenance Technician should have organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills.
Environmental: The Maintenance Technician will be regularly exposed to the elements and may experience a moderate to heavy noise level when the equipment is operating.
