Traveling Superintendent

Location:
Texas and Oklahoma (Travel Required)

Are you a seasoned Traveling Superintendent with a passion for overseeing construction projects? Our client, a leading Commercial General Contractor based in Texas, specializes in retail projects, including both renovations and ground-up constructions. They are seeking a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to join their team, traveling across Texas and Oklahoma to ensure project success.

Traveling Superintendent- Key Responsibilities:

Project Supervision:
Oversee all aspects of construction projects on-site, including renovations and ground-up retail projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage on-site construction teams. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication and coordination among team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Scheduling:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Coordinate with project managers to ensure milestones are met and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate any project changes or delays.
Quality Control:
Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure construction meets all specified standards and client expectations.
Safety Management:
Enforce safety protocols on all job sites. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
Problem-Solving:
Address and resolve any issues that arise on-site promptly. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Client Relations:
Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients. Maintain strong relationships, address client concerns promptly, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to project scope or timelines.

Traveling Superintendent- Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on retail projects.
Willingness to travel extensively across Texas and Oklahoma.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent scheduling and time management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges on-site.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
A valid driver s license and the ability to travel as required.
