Job Summary: THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION. Term: Summer 2024 through 2024-25 school yearTutor Doctor - Knoxville is seeking a compassionate and skilled tutor to work with a rising 1st grader on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to prepare for the 1st grade. This position involves providing tailored support to a young boy to help him develop his communication skills while practicing elementary skills in Math, Reading, and Writing subjects. Sessions would take place at the Blount County Library and continue through the school year.
Responsibilities:
Develop personalized learning plans based on the individual needs and goals of each client.
Implement evidence-based strategies and techniques to improve executive function skills, including but not limited to task analysis, cognitive restructuring, and self-monitoring.
Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in-person.
Collaborate with families to set realistic goals and track progress over time.
Offer guidance and support in areas such as time management, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional regulation.
Communicate effectively with families, and other support professionals to ensure continuity of care and holistic support.
Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
