every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 12 hour shifts a week • Floating policy:
may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors • Patient Experience requirements:
hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7 th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards. Hospital Specifics- • Certifications:
BLS, ACLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set:
Must have :
Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills. Advanced skills needed:
ACLS. Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes. Procedures performed on unit:
Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes. Trouble shooting wound vacs Certifications Required:

Unit does self scheduling. Schedules are 4 weeks, and contract are required to work every other weekend. Utilize techs to care for the patients and assist in care. Most travelers extend after the first time on PCU.
