The shipping department is responsible for packaging, warehousing and final transportation of finished product.
The Department works closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Summary of essential job functions:
Retrieve furniture from the warehouse for loads.
Wrapping/boxing product for transportation.
Scan all pieces while loading, unloading or organizing the warehouse.
Responsible for maintaining their equipment (2-wheelers, motorized vehicles, etc.)Check of all Bills of Lading for shipments and receipts to ensure accuracy.
Responsible for taking all damages to inspection/repair department.
Keeping warehouse and dock doors clean of debris.
Any additional work as directed by supervisor or lead.
Additional Requirements:
Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment (concrete floors indoor/outdoor, etc.
)Ability to read, write, count, and do basic math.
Must pay close attention to detail.
Must perform job with safety as a top priority.
Must be able to get along.
