Position Overview:

Ozinga seeks a dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment efforts from our Mokena-based corporate office. This strategic role encompasses overseeing recruitment marketing, workforce planning, and rewards and recognition initiatives. The Talent Acquisition Manager reports to the Director of Talent & Workforce Planning.

Your Role:Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Talent Acquisition team and activities across the entire hiring cycle, including establishing service level agreements with hiring managers, creating and executing sourcing strategies, extending employment offers, checking references, conducting background checks, and coordinating new hire onboarding.
  • Participate in the development of new hire onboarding strategies.
  • Establish goals for the recruitment team and implement 'Check-Ins' to monitor team performance.
  • Develop and implement a talent acquisition strategy to achieve optimal sourcing, evaluation, and selection of highly qualified and diverse talent.
  • Organize and execute business plans to achieve annual talent acquisition goals.
  • Anticipate needs, forecast staffing shortages, and formulate proactive short and long-term strategies to meet organizational needs.
  • Report and manage weekly, quarterly, and regular key metrics and indicators related to sourcing and retention.
  • Manage relationships with external organizations, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and outsourcing to meet talent acquisition and workforce hiring goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent & Workforce Planning on the annual operating budget and plan resources to execute hiring goals.
  • Facilitate implementation and training of hiring and interview assessment tools and the service level agreement process.
  • Participate in strategic discussions with key internal and external partners to remain innovative and forward-looking with talent acquisition processes, tools, and sourcing.
  • Build and maintain recruiting policies, procedures, and training processes to enhance recruiting effectiveness.
  • Evaluate talent recruitment and placement processes to ensure a positive interview and onboarding experience.
  • Create opportunities for professional development, individualized training, and coaching to support recruitment and retention.
  • Assist in the creation and development of policies and procedures.
  • Leverage EEO/AAP/compliance strategies and goals to ensure EEO compliance and diversity goal achievement.
Recruitment Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement corporate office support for recruiting qualified candidates for open positions, especially drivers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the diversity of the candidate pool.
  • Provide appropriate training for hiring managers to improve hiring and retention.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to determine position requirements, skills, and characteristics for sourcing candidates.
  • Assist in vetting candidates as needed to meet business unit needs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a recruitment marketing strategy.
  • Promote Ozinga's history and culture to potential and new employees, highlighting the company's values and heritage.
Other Workforce Development Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development group to provide training for managers to improve effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to establish succession plans consistent with Ozinga's workforce development vision.
  • Assist in monitoring workforce demographics to forecast talent acquisition and succession planning needs.
  • Perform exit interviews with terminated employees and provide feedback to the senior HR team.
  • Network with internal and external leaders to ensure that Ozinga's workforce development remains competitive.
  • Provide counsel and input to owners, business unit leaders, and managers to help preserve and enhance the Ozinga culture consistent with our values and purpose.
Who We Are Looking For:Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
Experience:
  • Extensive HR leadership background and knowledge
  • 7-10 years of HR experience, including Talent Acquisition
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • 3-5 years of experience leading a recruitment department responsible for hiring at a large organization
  • Experience leveraging social media in recruitment
Skills:
  • Strong coaching, interviewing, and screening abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the company
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Calm demeanor with a heart for service
Language:
  • Ability to speak fluently in Spanish preferred
Work Environment and Travel:
  • Approximately 10-15% local or domestic travel may be required.
  • Occasional exposure to field operations, construction sites, and production facilities.
