Advisor Information Technology IT Data Scientist

The Advisor, Information Technology (IT Data Scientist) leverages expertise in data and programming to build robust systems.
These systems collect, manage, and transform raw data into valuable information (insights) for business analysts and decision-makers.
This role plays a crucial role in ensuring data reliability, availability, quality, and efficiency.
This position will be working hybrid and is based in Oriental Center building, San Juan, PR.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyze and Organize Raw Data.
Conduct complex raw data analysis from various sources and extract meaningful insights.
• Construct datasets that are easy to analyze and align with company requirements.
• Build Data Systems and Pipelines.
Troubleshoot issues and enhance data quality.
• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems.
• Ensure these systems meet business requirements and industry best practices.
• Design and build integration patterns to ingest data from various sources.
• Evaluate Business Needs and Objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals.
Work closely with cross-functional teams on various projects.
• Interpret trends and patterns in data to drive informed decisions.
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Develop Algorithms and Prototypes.
• Explore ways to enhance data reliability and support machine learning methods.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Architects.
• Contribute to the development of analytical tools and programs.
• Implement Data Governance and Security measures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Data Engineering or related field required.
• Five (5) year of experience in IT Data Analysis required.
Banking experience preferred.
• Three (3) year of experience in Data Modeling required.
• Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Proficiency in programming languages SQL & Python required.
• Familiarity with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques required.
• Extensive knowledge in Cloud technologies, AWS, Snowflake, and Google required.
• Ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish & English required.
• Detail oriented, problem solving, teamwork and the ability to work effectively with vendors required.
