MEI) is seeking a Key Account Manager to develop and nurture business opportunities with high-value and/or select strategic accounts customers in the defense/military/aerospace (Defense/Mil/Aero) sector, as well as net-new commercial customers to maximize Methode sales revenue and profitability, with significant focus on growth of product sales.
In this role, you will continually pursue ways to establish and protect Methode' s reputation and customer relationship as well as manage and support authorized Manufacturer's Representatives within the territory to increase Methode 'mind-share' and sales.This is a remote individual contributor role supporting Methode' s Power Solutions Group East Coast territory.
This role may be based in the following locations:

Responsibilities:
Maintain and build strong customer relationships to ensure Methode is the preferred supplier designed in for programs and projects
Implement a plan to grow strategic Defense/Mil/Aero account revenue via expansion in existing and new programs
Strategically pursue net-new sales in commercial accounts within the territory
Lead quote process and any technical changes, including kick-off, development, and customer presentation
Support customer systems, service quotes and pricing by coordinating with internal Methode expertise, developing productivity proposals as needed, and communicating the technical proposals as needed
Drive incremental margin improvement within existing business to goals set by business each year
Develop relationships across various disciplines within key account organization, through proactive support and problem resolution, on-site visits, and consistent communication
Communicate and present to all levels of internal stakeholders and leadership on metrics, progress, issues, and planning
Manage open opportunities using CRM tool (Salesforce.com)
Manage awarded business to ensure tracking and updating of customer data including forecasting and pricing through internal business management system, and support account receivables invoicing and P.O.
adjustments
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required; Engineering or Business preferred
4+ years of sales experience, preferably in account management relevant business experience
Requires strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to effectively present and communicate information to diverse groups and at levels of organization, internally and externally
Experience and knowledge selling products into the Mil/Aero industry preferred
Must have expert skills in PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to travel up to 60% domestic travel
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
