Octorara Junior/Senior High School The Octorara School District is looking for talented teachers. An opening for the 2024-2025 school year has become available for a Career and Technical Education, Computer Technology Teacher.
This position is to fill an open for a PDE-approved secondary Program of Study-Computer Technology/Computer System Technology CIP 15.1202. This position requires experience with both PC and Apple Products as Computer Programmer or Computer Technician. Candidates who do not currently hold a PA Teaching Certificate must be willing to enroll into the Temple Workforce Education program to obtain PDE certification.
Requirements:
Associates Degree is required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Preferred: Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate: Vocational 1 or 2 in Computer Technology OR Minimum: 4 years in Industry dealing with Information Technology and/or Computer Science

IT Essentials A/B - Cisco IT Essentials training or CompTIA A+
Cisco Intro to Networks - CCNA1 training OR Cisco CCENT
Cisco Routing and Switching Essentials - CCNA2 training OR Cisco CCENT o PLTW CSP - PLTW CSP core training OR PLTW CSA - PLTW CSA core training on Cybersecurity - Security+ level of knowledge
