Apply today for our Outpatient Surgery PRN Registered Nurse RN opportunity.Job Summary and QualificationsOur Surgical Services4 Operating Rooms3 Endoscopy Procedure RoomsOff Site Surgery CenterSupportive, nurturing and caring culture that fosters teamwork and excellent practiceWhat will you be doing?Obtains a complete nursing assessment on all patients.Responsible for ongoing clinical management of the patient, promotes and participates in patient education and teaching and administers medications, and IV therapy, and performs venipunctures.Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the surgical services department.Maintains accurate and legible documentation to ensure accountability for assessments and patient plan of care and accurate patient charging.Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and in-services and provides leadership.Communicates effectively and professionally with peers, supervisors, ancillary departments and all other external/internal customers.Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within Surgical Services and procedural areas to assist in the smooth operation of the departments and maintain competencies as appropriate.Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.What qualifications you will need:
Experience in an acute care facility or similar clinical areaRN - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices or holds active compact state licensureAdvanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start datePALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
