• - The Administrative Management Specialist will assist the Director of Campus Safety by conducting multiple roles critical to the departments success. Provides direct oversight of the AED program. Completes broad office administrative assistant duties. Assists with various emergency management and safety-based functions and other services provided by the department. Provides management and evaluation of financial activities. Coordinates with internal finance and external groups to make purchases and payments and conducts financial reconciliations for the department. Helps in event planning. Performs other general clerical duties.

• Required Education:
• Associates Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, AND:
• 18-36 months of office management experience
• Skills:
• General office skills such as multi-line phone, copying, filing, faxing, and mail
• Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
• Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff.
• Strong initiative to solve problems
• Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, include Word, Excel, Powerpoint and virtual platforms such as Teams and Zoom
• Basic math and computer skills
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Proficient at navigating and maintaining databases
• Knowledge of content management systems and social media platforms
• Certifications
• :
• Valid driver's license
• Advertised Physical Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older. Must submit to a background check. Perseverance, both physically and mentally, for fast-paced and demanding responsibilities required. Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods; requires contact with other departments and university officials; requires minimum travel; eyestrain from working often with computers. Sitting for prolonged periods. May be required to lift, carry, bend, and stoop.
