We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Assistant to join our team at a facility operated by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD). In this role, you will play a vital part in providing quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live life to the fullest.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the registered nurse
Help residents with feeding and mealtimes
Assist with medication administration (under the supervision of a licensed nurse)
Document resident care and progress notes
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Participate in resident care planning meetings
Respond to residents' needs in a timely and courteous manner
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
Qualifications:
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license or equivalent
Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
Strong compassion and empathy for others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
