As a Wound and Ostomy Nurse (RN) for the Catholic Medical Center Outpatient Wound/Ostomy Center, you are the subject matter expert in the world of wound and ostomy care. You are the voice of the patient and your goal is to assist patient in achieving an optimal level of wellness and independence. Your assessment skills and ability to meet patients where they are is exemplary. You enjoy collaborating with the health care team to deliver the best care and achieve the best outcomes for your patients.

This opening is a PerDiem RN role. The clinic is open Monday - Friday. Our needs vary, based upon census. There may be opportunity to pick up additional shifts as well. What you'll do: Assess and provide treatment to patients of the Wound and Ostomy Center

Assist the Provider in obtaining pertinent information from all sources: history, diagnostic tests, patient and family.
- Identify pertinent medical/health issues and needs through evaluation to establish appropriate priorities of care.
Assess and document the condition of wounds and/or ostomy and response to treatment.
Perform wound and/or ostomy treatments and therapeutic procedures according to established department policies and procedures and current standards of practice.
Triage scheduled patients to accommodate emergencies, with the assistance of the provider and/ or clinical supervisor, to ensure proper handling of priority cases.
Assist providers with debridement of wounds as required by plan of care
Assist in arrangement of referrals, complete appropriate documentation to provide for appropriate patient care intra and inter-departmentally and with outside agencies.
Communicates with patient and their significant others and/or caregiver regarding plan of care
Identify educational needs of patients/families
Teach patient and/or caregiver as required by plan of care

What you'll bring:

2+ years' current experience as a Wound and Ostomy RN is highly preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Wound certification is highly preferred (WOCN, CWCN, CSW, OMS or WCC)
- Certification is required within 1 year.
Unencumbered RN licensure in NH (or ability to obtain by start date)
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

This opening is for working every Friday in the Outpatient Wound/Ostomy Center. There may be opportunity to pick up additional shifts as well. What you'll do:
