BHS Corrugated is seeking a SPL Sourcing Manager to join our growing team in our Charlotte, NC facility!

Summary:
The SPL Sourcing Manager will have responsibility for all North America & South America (NASA) sourcing requirements for the parts and service businesses. This includes working with all BHS global entities to develop contracts with vendors for NASA requirements. The scope of the role starts with identifying sourcing needs, identifying vendor opportunities, establishing contracts, and assuring quality parts and services are available and meet quality as required by all NASA business segments. This is a hybrid position in Charlotte, NC and requires less than 10% travel.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to increase the use of local sourced vendors, in line with company goals and objectives.
Establish LEAN processing for purchase requisitions, ensuring efficient and timely processing of orders.
Establish performance metrics for the BHS sourcing team(s) and vendors.
Negotiate and establish vendor agreements, including terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules. On time, Lead time, Quality and cost.
- Conduct market research to identify new vendors and products that meet our quality and cost requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance, including quality and delivery requirements and address any issues as they arise.
- Manage vendor relationships, including conducting regular meeting and performance reviews. Assuring suppliers are aware and capable of capacity demands. Establish action plans as required.
- Establish partnership agreements with suppliers / vendors for products and services. Confirm / verify supplier capacity and quality capability. Confirm all sourcing terms comply with BHS guidelines and policy. Collaborate with GKS Germany and assure alignment is strategy to achieve objectives.
Working directly with BHS WHR, BHS APAC, along with local sourcing options to achieve best overall results.
- Assure accessibility to technical research support and direction for spare parts and materials that require emergency services.
- Conduct global margin assessment to assure best BHS global benefit is acquired. This takes into account cost, lead time, availability, internal processing cost etc.
- Coordinate with technical function to investigate and research potential parts specification alternatives and options as back up.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing needs and requirements.
- Support demand requirements from all BHS NASA functional segments to assure material / service availability is achieved to meet objectives. Establishing demand forecasting capability working with product managers, and technical services to identify the demands during the next six to twelve months.
Conduct risk assessment on BHS NASA business segments. Determine opportunity and contingency of sourcing to protect business.
Oversee and develop all Capex procurement processing for BHS NASA group.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of four (4) years business, supply chain, or technical field.
Five (5) plus years working in sourcing and procurement with vendors / suppliers in parts and service operations. Experience developing vendor contracts.
Strong negation and communication skills.
Experience with LEAN processing, business systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of vendor management software and tools
Demonstrated capability of creating strategy and implementing long term objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with focus on problem solving abilities.
Ability to work at a computer for up to eight (8) hours a day.
Ability to stand for at least forty-five (45) minutes at a time and lift thirty-five (35) pounds at waist level.
MPR, SAP, system experience a plus.
