WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a product application specialist trainee, you will provide technical help and troubleshooting assistance to the customer service department and customers.

Provide customers with general technical information and system troubleshooting
Assist with the design of mechanical and hydraulic systems
Assist in proofreading documents and bills of materials, including proactive review of current manuals
Provide customers with specific plumbing/hydraulic diagrams when requested for installation
Assist product managers and application engineers with application problems as required
Assist in technical training as requested
Assist in leading small group training with customer service managers as needed
Assist mentoring customer service managers
Assist in maintaining, organizing, and updating the wiring harness training room
Assist in recording document change request activities
Provide monthly wrap-up report on activities and key support categories
YOUR EXPERIENCES & SKILLS High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Hydraulics and pneumatics diploma or associate's degree in hydraulic technology preferred
Bachelor's degree in design, mechanical, or industrial engineering or other applicable engineering or technical degree preferred
Possess a basic understanding of automotive electrical systems
Computer literate with experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Pro-E, SOLIDWORKS, or related 3D CAD experience is a plus)
One (1) to three (3) years of experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic components and systems preferred
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
Must be willing to travel on occasion
Ability to work well with others
A good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of trucks and truck systems
Ability to speak Spanish at a conversational proficiency level preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations a plus
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public
