Now Hiring for Summer 2024! Positions are available at the City Parks, Multi-sports Complex, Rivers Edge Trail, Pools, and Portage Meadows.
Responsibility for providing skilled to semi-skilled activities in the maintenance and construction of parks, buildings, facilities and other landscaped areas.
Work responsibilities may extend to special work assignments, including swimming pool maintenance, athletic field maintenance, and playground construction projects.
Work is performed under the general direction of the Parks Manager or other supervisory employee.
Essential Functions of Work Mows grass and sprays weeds; lays sod; waters and fertilizes grass and landscaped areas; applies pesticides.
Performs minor repairs to buildings and facilities; installs and removes signs; maintains parks equipment.
Removes ice and snow; installs and removes snow fences.
Works with and provides skilled trades personnel with assistance on various carpentry, plumbing and irrigation system projects.
