Position Overview: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct resident care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal resident care. Works under direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.

Provides alldirect Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care for residents.
Alwaysdemonstrates an awareness and understanding of residents' needs and comfort andsafety.
PerformsI&Os; checks vital signs and weight, specimen collection, and post-mortemcare.
Completesdaily documentation in residents health records as directed
Workseffectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in theorientation of new employees.
Instillsconfidence in residents by maintaining a neat appearance and performing dutiesin a competent and caring manner.
Withspecialized training and written approval, may perform additional andspecialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.
Communicatesresident care data, observations, and information to other healthcare teammembers.
Uses downtime effectively to make rounds,stock, clean or perform other appropriate actions within the scope of responsibility.
Safelypractices resident care according to policies, procedures, and establishedpractices.
Demonstratesthe ability to perform resident care in a calm, efficient, and professionalmanner.
Functions asa team member, demonstrating the initiative to assist team members incompleting assignments.
Completesunit support duties as assigned by unit nurse and/or DON
