Job Summary:
Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing departments to create detailed drawings, typically of trailers or trailer components, for use in the price quoting and manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions

Gather product and structural requirements from various sources to translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings, getting approvals and refining as needed.
Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements for designs.
Create detailed drawings using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software(s).
Interpret and apply the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), National Electric Code (NEC), and National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) codes to technical drawings.
Ensure final designs comply with regulations and Novae LLC quality standards.
Design diagrams, blueprints, and layouts to illustrate workflow for manufacturing teams.
Maintain a database of drawings for future reference.
Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Training certificate in CAD preferred
Fluent level proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD
Knowledge of proper modeling procedures and techniques
Excellent attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude
Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to stay organizes and prioritize tasks in a time pressed manufacturing environment
