Scheduling Specialist Established Patients - HYBRID

Summary

This position has a hybrid work option. Up to two shifts per week may be performed remotely after the training period has concluded (roughly three months long) and so long as performance expectations are maintained.

MaineHealth Cardiology is actively recruiting a candidate who is looking for a hybrid (semi-remote) work schedule. This is a scheduling specialist role serving our established patient community. The position is responsible for one to two shifts per week, remotely staffing our virtual phone operator system for inbound patient calls. This position is responsible for scheduling diagnostic testing visits, wound checks, hospital follow-ups, and other specialized visits. Candidates who have two years or more of medical office experience would be preferred. EPIC experience is a plus for any applicant.

Position Summary

Position is responsible for performing appointment scheduling for a high-volume multi-physician specialty care practice, including coordination of surgeries, and/or surgical procedures at multiple locations.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience: N/A
4. Knowledge and skills in using office equipment.
5. Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks and have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
8. Excellent customer service skills.
9. Strong computer skills.
10. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
12. Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision.
13. Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
