0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Workwell, a dynamic, Occupational Health practice is seeking a Medical Assistant who can "go with the flow", multi-task, and fill in where needed. The position is mainly clinical:
hair, urine and drug testing (would get certified), as well as completing screenings (such as vision, hearing, lift capacity) prior to patients seeing providers. Phlebotomy experience is a definite plus!

This position is for the Biddeford office - but travel to Sanford may be required on occasion for training or to cover if needed. Our offices are open 5 days per week, 7:
30am - 4:
00pm, no weekends.We are a small, fun, supportive group and welcome you to apply!

Position Summary
- Assist providers in the care and treatment of patients, promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. Performs tasks as required, paying attention to detail and accuracy, conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. The incumbent is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with policies, procedures, and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and activities.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:
  Must meet one of the following requirements:
  - Graduated from two year accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting.
  - Certification with the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistant) or registration with the AMT (American Medical Technology), or certification with the NHA (National Healthcare Association).
- License/Certifications:
  See "Education." Current BLS required.
- Experience:
  Minimum one year's experience working as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, preferred. Experience in an Occupational Health practice preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare field and medical office protocols/procedures.
- Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately with ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff with the ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
- Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
- Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to travel to other offices as needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
