This position is in the Lewiston CareerCenter and provides vocational rehabilitation services to youth and young adults with mental health, intellectual and physical disabilities to assist them to meet their employment goals. The position works extensively with partners including individuals with disabilities, families, employers, schools, the workforce system, and community providers.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Establishing a counseling relationship and partnership with consumers.
• Participating in school meetings
• Delivering group activities that promote career exploration and work readiness
• Contacting business and industry groups, advocating for clients, and offering incentives.
• Assistance to place clients in jobs.
• Building partnerships within the workforce development system.
• Evaluating and interpreting medical and psychological information, then assessing client needs.
• Available resources to develop and implement a comprehensive rehabilitation plan leading to employment.
• Maintaining accurate documentation using AWARE computer-based client data system.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a field related to vocational rehabilitation and 2 years of experience demonstrating knowledges and abilities in assisting individuals with disabilities, employers and other stakeholders with their employment and workforce needs.
