RESPONSIBILITIES
The Staff Accountant is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset manager. Maintains a complete audit and posting trail for all payments or cash received, and transmits complete, necessary data to each accounting function as required.
Responsible for all payroll and accounts payable functions
Prepares periodic journal entries as required by the Accounting Manager for general ledger posting and the preparation and maintenance of databases and subledgers which facilitate various reports for purposes of management reporting by the Accounting Manager.
Assists in the preparation of revenue, payroll, budget, receipts and disbursement entries, reports and analyses.
Responsible for fixed asset manager
Assumes other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor s degree in Accounting preferred
Healthcare or non-profit experience preferred.
1+ years accounting experience
High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Systems.
Detail oriented, focus on accuracy.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Willingness and ability to perform day-to-day fiscal activities at all levels.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, work accurately, meet deadlines, and provide effective management reporting is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills required to develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels within the organization is of the essence of this position.
Ability to work both independently and as part of team.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage modest projects successfully.
Detail-oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills.
