To qualify for the program, applicants must be enrolled with Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College and be admitted to the Engineering and Electronics Technology Associate's program.

AESC invests $2 billion for 30GWh electric battery gigafactory, creating 2,000 jobs

AESC's Investment in 30GWh Kentucky Gigafactory Creates 2,000 New Jobs and Solidifies the Commonwealth as Electric Vehicle Battery Capital of U.S.
Envision AESC, a world-leading Japanese electric vehicle battery technology company, along with Gov.
Beshear, announced on April 14, 2022 its $2 billion investment to build a new, state-of-the-art gigafactory in the Kentucky Transpark in Bowling Green, Warren County.
The 30GWh plant will create 2,000 skilled jobs in the region, producing battery cells and modules to power the next generation EVs.

"Envision is a company with a tremendous track record for success," said Gov.
Beshear.
"They've been producing high-performance, extended-range batteries for 12 years.
They are not new to this and they currently power over 650,000 vehicles operating in 44 counties.
In that time, Envision has achieved a record of zero critical battery malfunctions."

While performing the duties of this job, for shifts lasting up to 12 hours, the employee is required to read, write, speak, hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift with hands and arms, bend, twist, stoop, kneel or crouch while frequently working in confined areas repeatedly throughout the day.
The employee is frequently required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally required to climb, balance or crawl.

Work Environment

When construction is complete, the work environment will be primarily a climate controlled, automated manufacturing plant with light to moderate noise and forklift traffic.The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.

This position must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others.
