Central Services Technician (In office)POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision,opens, processes, and distributes correspondence and filing. Processes subrogation intake under the direction of the Central Support Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position may perform some or all of the duties listed below:

Retrieves open and date stamps mail. *
Determines appropriate recipient for correspondence. *
Distributes mail to claims staff. *
Researches misdirected mail, redirecting to the appropriate party/office. *
Prepares, weighs, and meters outgoing mail. *
May print and reconcile checks, as needed, for all branch offices.*
Set up new subrogation claims.
Other duties as assigned.

* Essential job function.EQUIPMENT OPERATED/USED: Computer, date stamp, scale, meter.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR CLOTHING: Appropriate office attire.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED.

Ability to alphabetize and collate.
Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Basic keyboarding skills.
Ability to lift boxes of mail.

2. PHYSICAL EFFORT

a. Physical activity required to perform the job:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Light work:
