\*\*Shift:\*\* 3x12s, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
\*\*Approved Hours:\*\* 36 hours/week
\*\*Pay Range:\*\* $60 to $65/hour
\*\*Position Overview:\*\*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg - Ortho Unit in Urbana, IL. This position requires a compassionate and skilled RN with a strong background in medical-surgical and orthopedic nursing. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their hospital stay.
\*\*Key Responsibilities:\*\*
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med Surg - Ortho Unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to orthopedic patients, including pain management and rehabilitation support.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the care plan.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
\*\*Requirements:\*\*
• \*\*Experience:\*\*
• Minimum of 1+ year of MED/SURG nursing experience.
• Specific experience in orthopedic nursing.
• \*\*Education:\*\*
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• \*\*Certifications & Licensure:\*\*
• Current Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
• COVID vaccination card.

• Proficient in providing comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
