Logistics Division Chief - Fire Department

DescriptionIdaho National Laboratory is hiring a Logistics Division Chief (DC) to serve within the Fire Department Administration Division as the program manager for all activities related to the planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, fleet management, facilities management, and supply chain processes.
We work onsite out of the Fire Department facility located at our Central Facilities Area, approximately one hour from Idaho Falls.Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Administration, you will assist with organizational strategic planning and accreditation and shall establish goals for the logistics division that implement Facility and Site Services (F&SS) expectations and integrate with fire department divisions and programs.
The Logistics DC makes assignments and prioritizes all items related to program responsibilities.Oversee the implementation of First Due software suite and functioning as the contact for the assets and inventory management pieceFacilitate and manage the service contracts for the fire department (Statement of Work process, numbering, quotes, and submitting the request)Approve invoices, saving data, and ensuring appropriate charge numbers are being usedUnderstand the visitor notification process for subcontractors and vendorsProcess vendor payments and manage the purchase card program for the fire departmentManage the excess property program for the fire departmentUnderstand the maintenance work request (MWR) processBe a secondary Subcontract Field Representative (SFR) for the fire departmentWork with the INL Chemical Coordinators to ensure the fire department is in complianceCoordinate with program managers and make recommendations for maintenance requests, repairs, and systems testing of equipmentEnsure all stations are supplied with the necessary supplies and equipmentWork with all fire department program managers to ensure they have the tools to make their programs effectiveEnsure work assignments are clear and sufficient staff is available for support for large incidentsAccount for all personnel, keeping general safety a priority for large incidentsAnticipate service and support requirementsParticipate in planning activities for internal and external meetings, gatherings, ceremonies, graduations, etc.Fire Department point of contact for the facility managers on maintenance and/or construction activitiesManage all fire department apparatus maintenancePeriodically relieve/act for the Deputy Chief of Administration during periods of absence.QualificationsAssociate's degree plus 9-12+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 5-8+ years of experience OR Master's degree plus 3-6+ years of experience OR 13-16+ years of experience in lieu of degreeAdvanced knowledge and expertise in applicable laws standards and codes related to government and company procurement and purchasing.Must have a strong understanding of Fire Department operations and apparatus and equipment procurementEMT-B License valid in the State of IdahoDriver's License valid in the State of IdahoThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
