Acts as Principal Investigator (PI) on INL Cultural Resource Management Office (CRMO) projects for historic properties in the built environmentSubject Matter expert (SME) / Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for cultural resource review of projects and undertakings for INL historic properties in the built environmentNHPA Section 106 compliance for INL historic properties in the built environment, including survey, analysis, and report completionNHPA Section 110 compliance and research for INL historic properties in the built environment, including survey, analysis, and report completionConducts research and produces written contexts and reports to document the cultural and scientific history of INLConducts research and produces written contexts and reports to document historic land use on INLApplies knowledge of federal laws, regulations, state law, DOE orders, professional standards, and a broad knowledge of INL built environment, land use, and historyDemonstrates good judgement in applying appropriate methods and techniques for analyzing and solving complex issues from projects with a diversity of scopeParticipate in long term strategies regarding built environment resources, including but not limited to:
EBR-I Preservation Plan, Built Environment Inventory Updates, Long term display opportunities with historic objects, Section 110 preservation issuesRepresents CRMO expertise within architectural history to internal customers and some external customersQualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Masters of Arts or Masters of Science and 3 - 6+ years relevant experience or PhD and 2 - 4+ years relevant experience in architectural history, historic preservation, archaeology, anthropology, history, or closely related fieldThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.Meets Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Architectural History or Archaeology (36 CFR 61 Appendix A) (
