Director Imaging ServicesPosition Summary:

Responsible for Imaging Services and joint venture imaging operations. Leads and directs the staff and programs of the Imaging departments. Works closely with staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Leads and directs the work of others.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Imaging Services and joint venture imaging operations
Assists department supervisors in selection, supervision, and evaluation of staff, establishing and implementing policies and procedures, personnel issues
Assists with technical staff evaluations
Administers are operating and capital budget to achieve financial performance goals
Short/Long range planning
Performs other related duties as assigned
Performs a variety of complex tasks
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or at least 15 years imaging specific leadership experience required
Master's degree preferred
A graduate of an accredited imaging specific educational program Current professional credentialing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) required
Broad and intensive understanding of clinical operations and the related functions of administration and the service lines
Demonstrated management skills associated with budgeting, program development, planning and execution
Knowledge of negotiations and change management
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements
Excellent and proven leadership skills incorporating accountability, open communication and team building.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to maintain a sitting position
Must be able to maintain a standing position
Must be able to stoop or crouch
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
Must be able to move or traverse with/without accommodation
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone
Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.
