The *Prep Cook* performs a wide variety of tasks and processes to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, and visitors, following standard practices and procedures while complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include: follow standard recipes, production sheets, tallies, and ingredient room sheets to achieve nutritiously, high quality, cost-effective meals and handling food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices.

*Responsibilities*:*

* Be a part of a team that prepares menu items, primarily from scratch, according to daily production needs for staff and guests.

* Responsible for attaining knowledge to perform functions of the position including inventory management, food waste reduction, and creativity in food presentation.

* Responsible for holding high standards for food quality. Assists in training of new employees within the production area.

* Responsible for following and maintaining all HACCP regulations for food safety and sanitation.

*Qualifications:*

* Previous experience in customer service, food service, or other related fields

* Ability to build rapport with guests

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
