Primary mission:

Supervise the daily operations of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets and minimal expenses. Position supervises daily operations in maintaining the maintenance/sanitation of the guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations and pool/health club. Recommends and implements procedural changes; monitors inventories and expenses.

SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM

• Reports to Executive Housekeeper
• Supports hotel by ensuring completion of regular maintenance and cleaning projects
• Assists in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in cleaning, supervising and inspecting the daily cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house
• Ensure compliance with reporting of employee injuries and guest accidents, OSHA and SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper to monitor and report on expenses (payroll and supplies) to aid in controlling costs while ensuring adequate staff and supplies are on hand to provide top quality services.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Refer and follow up on maintenance issues/problems with Engineering to protect hotel assets, ensure a safe, accident free environment for guests and associates and maintain/ improve guest satisfaction.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff and company assets
• Train all Housekeeping personnel to perform their duties to property standards.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with weekly scheduling of staff
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in all areas requested and act in his/her place during his/her absence
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

• Prior Experience:
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Supervisory experience required
• IT Expertise:
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.

• Education:
  • 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
  • Or 4 year college degree at least 1 year of related experience
• Subject Expertise:
  • May require long hours depending on occupancy
  • Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Second language may be required.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required and maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
  • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
  • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.

• Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
• Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
• Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
