As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to drive our commercial construction business forward.

What you will do:

As the Director of Business Development - Commercial Construction, you will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships within the South Florida region. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, and driving revenue growth for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the VP of Business Development, you will develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitality, healthcare facilities, and other commercial projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and industry partners.
Lead the development and preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids in response to client requirements and RFPs.
Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company's growth strategy, including market expansion, product diversification, and geographic expansion.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and foster business relationships.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize business development initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all business dealings.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the commercial construction industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed within South Florida and occasionally beyond

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Deep understanding of the commercial construction market in South Florida, including key players, market dynamics, trends, and opportunities.
Strong network of contacts within the commercial construction industry, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and industry associations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate value propositions and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in leading and managing a high-performing business development team.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate market trends, and develop innovative business solutions.
Results-oriented approach with a strong focus on achieving measurable business outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
