Position Overview:

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Adult and Pediatric Neurosurgical team based at St. Joseph's Hospital and St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, FL.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a growing neurosurgery practice serving both pediatric and adult patients.

The responsibilites will include inpatient rounding, surgical assisting, and seeing patients in a clinic setting.

Call will be shared equally 1:4 and will include answering patient calls via answering service afterhours and some hospital calls.

This position requires teamwork, flexibility, and energy with attention to detail. Ideal candidate should be flexible, affable, creative, energetic, and can show compassion while working with patients.

Qualifications:

Experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in neurosurgery is preferred. The minimum requirements include a clinical rotation in neurosurgery or RN experience in neurosurgery. Surgical First Assist or RNFA is preferred. APP must obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.

Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Ability to obtain a Florida license.
