The Service Partnership Group (SPG) is looking for a Lead Analyst to empower the Smart TV Business Development team with analytics and insights to enable them to make data driven decisions. The SPG handles all partnerships and revenues associated with the ecosystem of OTT content service providers, content licensing partners and various app and gaming partners on the mobile platform. This role specifically would be focusing on helping us drive the European Smart TV (TV Ecosystem) business.

The lead analyst will use Samsung s data on its various platforms to understand partner and product feature performance and further the team s mission to drive success for our partners and strengthen our negotiation position during deal processes. Furthermore, the lead analyst will be a pro-active thought-leader in discovering opportunities from our data, identifying areas of improvement for our business and providing best practices in data analytics and visualisation. The position will work closely with all levels of our group and potentially external partners too. We are looking for an expert in creating models to forecast trends and find insights, and then conveying the so what to partners. You will be as comfortable in a meeting room presenting a Power Point of recommendations to senior partners as they are analysing data.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, strategically minded and solutions-focused with the ability to unravel internal

complexity/ambiguity,

navigate the organisation, and come to a quick understanding of the business and the relevant data. They will be part of a culture that always aspires to improve itself and others. The position requires superb communication, presentation skills, and be able collaborate with other teams within the business.

Role and ResponsibilitiesYour Key Responsibilities:Empower the TV Ecosystem team in their partnership deal and management processes with data-driven insights. This can range from partner/product performance analysis to pricing investigations during deal negotiations

Design and handle projects that deliver actionable recommendations for the SPG as well as the wider business:

Leading project analysis

Collect and synthesise internal and external data

Construct analysis that builds arguments to support or negate project hypotheses

Develop sophisticated models to support scenario evaluation

Project planning, design & communication:

Develop analytical problem-solving approaches using advanced analytical techniques combined with traditional business analysis methods to deliver insights and inform recommendations

Prepare persuasive presentations to communicate the case for change

Communicating complex insights in simple ways to our internal and external clients; storytelling with data where the target audiences are diverse businesses, leadership teams and cultures.

Collaborate with analytics team, delegating tasks where appropriate and tracking delivery

Become an expert on the data available to Samsung and how to interpret it

Work with the Director of Analytics & Insights to create a 12-month roadmap that will significantly enhance the TV ecosystem team s access to analysis, tools, products and insight. Track the delivery of the roadmap and provide regular updates to the team and other key partners

From time to time, support the Director or Analytics & Insights with strategic analytics projects that serve other business areas

Generate data visualizations to support our business operations

Coordinate with supporting functions across the organisation, including finance, the central Analytics & Insights team, and other business units, as necessary to drive team goals

Skills and QualificationsWhat we need for this roleTo be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:Experience working with app partners analysing app performance, ideally as part of app placement deals

Skilled at communicating the so what recommendations to non-technical team members. This covers presentations, documentation and conversations with partners.

Highly qualified at creating models that forecast scenarios based on data and business assumptions, to support business decision-making

Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organisations

Capable of presenting research findings to senior-level team members and clients in an engaging and story-driven manner

Passionate about technology and new media trends

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Project management experience

Experience with SQL

Experience with at least one BI system such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Domo or similar

Experience with Python/Pandas for data analytics would be a plus

What does success look like?Establish strong working relationships with the TV ecosystem team and the Analytics & Insights team

Be able to successfully deliver complex strategic analytics projects that delivered actionable recommendations to the business.

Leverage your experience in app partner analytics to elevate the level of intelligence supplied to the TV ecosystem to put them in the best possible position to negotiate partner deals

Be the analytics point of the TV ecosystem, manage the workflow and prioritisation of requests, delegate to.
