What You Will Be Doing

The Associate Vendor Manager is responsible for providing support to the Vendor Management department through daily assistance with vendor recruitment, database maintenance and daily support to Sales and Production teams with vendor-related issues and questions.

Description:

• Provide on-the-job support to the senior Vendor Management and Business Support teams and also to the Department Manager

• Become familiar with posting directories and sourcing tools

• Help with proactively recruiting new resources (Interpreters, Equipment vendors and any other necessary resource) to expand the company's database of external vendors

• Handle the on-boarding of candidatesfollowing the company's processes

• Help negotiate preferred rates with recruited vendors according to company, department or project needs

• Promote newly on-boarded vendors to the appropriate Production teams

• Assist Production and Sales teams on a daily basis with vendor-related issues and questions

• Assist with administration tasks as required

• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract vendors, Production staff and Internal employees globally

• Proactively seek additional tasks and duties to benefit TransPerfect as a whole

• Research and understand all industries that TransPerfect markets to, including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data

• Be knowledgeable in and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the translation industry, including leaders, competitive data, proposal formats, competitive rates, and marketing strategies

• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor
