If you like solving complex logistics related engineering problems using your analytical skills, this is the opportunity for you! As a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer, you will perform detailed reviews and analysis of test, engineering design, safety, manufacturing process, reliability and maintainability to identify and document maintenance and support requirements and utilize logistics modeling techniques to predict maintenance levels and costs.
As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product life cycle.
This includes overseeing the reliability & maintainability effort for a program, being the subject matter expert for reliability and maintainability engineering design, and direct interaction and engagement with the customer.
You'll also review engineering requirements, recommend tool and test equipment, establish calibration requirements and assist in the design and development of maintenance engineering and logistics support for engineering projects.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems.

Responsibilities:
Leading the reliability & maintainability engineering effortPerforming reliability prediction calculations, management, and performance measurementsProducing critical item lists and reliability maintenance plansSupporting testing and analysis needed to generate MTBF resultsSupporting Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System processesDeveloping all program Reliability & Maintainability CDRLsAdvising Engineering on all aspects of reliability and maintainability engineeringCommunicating status of the reliability and maintainability engineering program to the customerMust-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsAdvanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principlesAdvanced analytical skillsExtensive knowledge of Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM) processesExperience independently executing functional responsibilities for small to medium sized programsExperience with creation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and maintainability analyses (MTBF, MTTR, etc.)Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative reliability and maintainability analysesPreferred:
