Salary for Announcement

We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $54,000 - $62,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position screens patients, performs laboratory functions, special procedures and other clinical duties as assigned.
USEOFELECTRONICMEDICALRECORDSDOCUMENTATION
- Documents all patient care using electronic medical records system.
- Records current medications, labs, procedures and patient history including immunization and insurance records using electronic records system.
- Communicates patient requests and follow up actions with health care staff utilizing electronic task manager.
DIRECTPATIENTCARE
- Reviews health records/immunizations and recommends action based on clinical protocol,CDC,ACIP,HIPAAand State of Colorado Statute
- Administers vaccine, collects vital signs, collects lab specimens, renders emergency treatment based on scope of practice under clinical protocol and in consultation with a precepting medical provider
- Assists medical providers with patient care, performing intakes, including performing a variety of clinical indicators; Responds to campus emergencies as part of the emergency response team.
- Performs EKG's, lab testing procedures, medication dispensing, patient education and triage of clinical needs. Takes X-rays upon completion of a limited scope course and passage of exam.
CUSTOMERSERVICE
- Provides patient education in person and over the telephone according toHIPAAPrivacy Law.
- Schedules appointments,
- Interfaces with patients on behalf of the medical providers relaying a variety of clinical content as requested
- Maintains equipment to high standards to ensure patient safety.
CROSSTRAININGTOBACKUPHEALTHINFORMATIONOFFICEANDMISC
- HEALTHCENTERASSIGNMENTS*Provides support for the Health Information Office and when back up is needed in other areas of the Health Center (TBD)

Required Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA), Radiology Technologist (RT), Phlebotomist or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Experience withHIPAAconfidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

Limited scope radiology certificate
Previous experience using electronic medical records system
Patient screening/triage experience
Previous experience performing blood draws

Work Hours

40 hour work week
This is a 100% in-person role
